Blog Post 2: Boeing's Community



The Boeing family is dedicated to supporting the young upcoming bright minds of the future. Investing resources and funding education to the next generation is part of how Boeing contributes to the community. The Boeing family recognizes the importance of contributing to the community as it provides students with the necessary materials to pursue higher education and allows them to have the resources they need to be engaged in their education.

Boeing has provided the local schools in the Chicago area a $1.5 million grant that will provide students and teachers with computers and other technological resources to support them in remote learning. Boeing's contribution to the Chicago Public Schools supports the expansion of technology access to about 4,500 students. The grant has also allowed students to receive free or reduced-cost lunches.

Boeing is a global company, and we recognize that we must also provide support to other regions of the world. Boeing has contributed $1 million to Hispanic and Latinx support organizations. Boeing's notable contribution focuses on strengthening the Hispanic and Latinx community STEM education curriculum.

The Boeing family wanted to help a young black women student achieve her dream of becoming a pilot. A 16-year-old student surprised a high school senior with a scholarship to flight school.  Our goal at Boeing is to strengthen and diversify skilled workers with an emphasis on students of color.
